To clean a rubber mouse pad effectively without damaging it, follow these steps:
What You’ll Need:
Mild dish soap or shampoo
Warm (not hot) water
Soft brush or sponge
Towel
Flat surface to dry
Cleaning Steps:
Unplug or detach the mouse pad if it's wired or has RGB lighting (for standard rubber pads only).
Fill a basin or sink with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap.
Soak the pad for 5–10 minutes to loosen dirt, sweat, and oil.
Gently scrub the surface using a soft brush or sponge, especially on areas with stains or buildup.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.
Pat dry with a towel to remove excess water—don’t wring it.
Air dry flat on a clean surface for at least 12–24 hours until fully dry.
Avoid using alcohol, bleach, or putting it in the washing machine unless the manufacturer explicitly says it’s safe.
